Look and You Shall See

(personal photos taken in Linwood cemetery, one of the oldest in town)

Look with your Heart

Meticulous images

of hidden Desire,

a solitary dispassionate life.

Moment by moment

as blood runs dry,

Compassion and Silence

 still deny.

The dark, murky light

of paralyzed Grief,

lies covered by Sorrows

and yesterdays Beliefs.

In quiet Death

the dark shifts it’s veil

and sins indecisively,

attempt, still to fail.

Irreversible Fate

in finalities stored

with Emboldened Emotions

not clear cut or bored.

The gravity of Time

spouts forth it’s lies

from the lips of

the ageless,

phantoms denied.

Substitutionary Respect

is all we get,

for the feelings

of Fear that surround us yet.

Euphoria imprisons the smoldering Soul,

a mirage

in the heart’s broken fortress of Gold..

This last two pictures are from the same cemetery my father is buried in.

This monument was ordered by a young man’s mother after his accidental death. It just so totally expresses the deep degree of Grief that often comes with Death.

I have a small statue of this very same monument in the office of my house. I’ve always thought it is so beautiful and expressive.

I have missed your words, long story, but i will keep it short! I had a sever MS episode in November, and have been recovering since then, i had changed some passwords on different sites including foreverpoetic and my email sites. When I got sick, i lost the passwords and did not have access to anything so now i have created a new website at wordpress, http://wherewordsdailycomealive. Did not neglect you! May your new year be so very abundantly blessed and spiritually prosperous! And I really enjoyed the images above! God bless!

Oh I do hope you are doing better Wendell… I’ve had a similar problem lately with keeping my passwords for everything straight.. I know you didn’t neglect you my friend… you were just handling “life” on the outside. I do wish you the best and hope you don’t have such severe MS episodes again… I will try to find your new site you listed so I can follow you again… Prayers and Blessings sent your way! :D

Beautiful, moving, spoken straight from the heart in both words and images. A mixture of both joy and sadness . Of love gained and love lost but forever treasured and remembered. Happy New a year to you and your family.

But the recurring theme that always comes back to me…is how fortunate we are to still be alive…if we are still on this earth there is a good reason for our purpose. Blessings to you in 2014!!

This is very special, Keli – even more since it expresses as well finality as also sadness… and hope… controversy – and it still fits. Very nice.

Most of the times we need to close our eyes to “see”.

    Blow if you will
    fall wind – the flowers
    have all faded.

Exactly marcelo…. If only others would, or could. I’m going to try to use one of your images soon if you don’t mind! :D if I can think of anything to do your Photos/Art justice.

So beautiful Keli I love the poem so deep it takes to the brink of hopelessness then introduces hope! I do love the weeping angel and have used her image more than once , but I do hope she had some hope too! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for stopping by Willow! I appreciate the kind words you’ve left here. I think the weeping angel symbolizes the deep grief we all feel at some time of our lives. You make an excellent point about not losing HOPE. That is what keeps us going. We need time to grieve, but then we also need to move on and live our lives for ourselves as well as for them. They will always be in our hearts and memories.

Thank you so much Papa… I hope your 2014 is a wonderful year! As my Tennis Coach use to tell me, “when you’re on the bottom (meaning I was awful at tennis) there is no where to go but up.” My 2013 was like my tennis….LOL. So I’m looking forward to 2014 being better! :D

Hope you all had a very wonderful Christmas Holiday and that 2014 will be very prosperous for you and yours, and bring nothing but happiness. I’m planning on mine being much better…. but then Life CAN throw us some curves sometimes… :D
