Are you
Being Honest Now,
speaking from your Heart?
This Isn’t the Time for Pretending.
While
the Innocence within
succumbs to the Pain,
and Torment cripples
what was once
a Compassionate heart?
In that formidable abyss,
the Soul Lies
shrouded beneath a Veil of Hope.
Waiting, to
emerge with a bright Light,
as the Soul ascends,
and Hope springs forth,

Thanks… (hanging my head in shame) I like yours so much that I decided to just go that way with mine. I don’t think I’m going to post pictures of my family or my self…. just the beautiful art of friends and artists I like…. and my feeble attempts at photography…

Oh well… I guess they are floating around in space, because I tend to look for the good in people first and am always surprised when I find them to be false or hateful. I’m just a slow learner I guess, but no more personal pictures for me… LOL
So, what is your inspiration for this poem? I usually need something to trigger my poems.
Well actually, I was remembering when I dated a guy years ago and I believed every word he said. Come to find out, none of it was true… he just didn’t want to be alone. People don’t realize how much damage they do to the person they lie to…. While to them it is nothing, but to the person who had put their heart on the line, it mades it hard to fight off the jaded feelings it leaves. It isn’t good to hold onto those bad feelings though cuz they will harden your heart.

LOL… that’s probably true. I really don’t appreciate the type of people who lie to you by telling you what they think you want to hear, or see. Then, they are completely different with someone else. They aren’t real people in my opinion… they are chameleons…LOL
